I was raised in Aurora, Ontario where I developed a passion for cooking working in many restaurants in my home town. After high school, I attended George Brown College and graduated from the Culinary Management program. After working for a summer at Taboo Resort in Muskoka, I decided I wanted to work for another hotel, so I moved to Alberta to work at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
While there I had the opportunity to become an apprentice and attend Northern Institute Of Technology in Edmonton where I completed my Red Seal Certificate. After three years in Alberta it was time to expand my culinary experience by moving to London, England and working at Chef Marco Pierre White’s renowned London Steak House. From there moving to the Stafford Hotel, gave me an opportunity to work in an environment that allowed us to work with specialty items and various guest chefs to help us hone our skills.
Last March the Pandemic called me back home to Canada. Over the years, I have grown as a chef and an individual and I love to share what I know and what I cook with anyone who appreciates good food.
Since returning to Canada, I have opened Goldie’s Family Restaurant in Sarnia, overseeing the renovation, creating a new menu, working with local suppliers and the hiring, training and overseeing of staff.
Since the lockdown, I have been back in Aurora offering my services including; Chef At Your Call Virtual Cooking Demonstrations for groups, where family and friends can meet to learn how to cook a meal together under my professional guidance. And I will be cooking right along with the group.
Here’s how it works
After the Pandemic I am offering in home catering upon request and outdoor events I am passionate about cooking and consider myself a homestyle chef. It’s all about the flavour when you’re cooking, using the freshest ingredients you can find. This doesn’t mean it has to be expensive.
